Card Blues Suite Troubleshooting Reportcannot add device to isync - Version: 1.3d1, 3/17/2006 07:39PM PST

hulette1
Installed and the card works (I can pair my phone with the computer, and use salling clicker), but I cannot get my sony ericsson t616 phone to register with isync. when I try to add a device to the isync app, it sometimes finds nothing, other times finds the phone but says it is already registered as a USB device. Anyone have ideas or suggestions?

Card Blues Suite ReviewTiger Fixed!! - Version: 1.3d1, 5/15/2005 10:06AM PST

Thanks Alex, now fully working again under Tiger. No more dongles for me (until Apple breaks it again...................), thoroughly recommended to all PowerBook BlueTooth users without built in modules.

Card Blues Suite Usage TipMac OS strikes back - Version: 1.2d2, 3/13/2005 09:01AM PST

Used this driver on all versions of X up to WWDC Tiger - later build I have has broken it. Apple seemed to have noticed this thing and decided to stop it working, shame on you! If Apple won't support cardbus BlueTooth somebody should. BTW to previous poster, it must be a VERSION 3 card to work.

Card Blues Suite Troubleshooting ReportHelp needed - Version: 1.2d2, 9/11/2004 01:03AM PST

Can't get it to work. Installed a few times. Have a genuine 3Com Version2.0 BT card, but no dice. The card appears in my menu bar but the 3COM is greyed out and my only option available is powering off the card.
Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Card Blues Suite ReviewA sweet suite - Version: 1.2d2, 9/1/2004 08:34AM PST

Once I bought the proper PC card, this software immediately made it usable. The HP versions of the 3Com card that you can get for $40 on eBay will not work. Trust me on this one.
Within the physical limitations of the system it works great. I was hoping that my wife would not need to pop the antenna out to use the Logitec M900 mouse we got, but the signal was just not strong enough to allow smooth mousing with the card safly burried in the opposite side of her TiBook. With the antenna out it works great.
I agree with the previous poster that it wold be great if something like USB Overdrive could be used to enable the mouse's extra buttons, but since the communication is not via USB, it would have to be accomplished with some other clever utility that has not yet been written.

When we were in CompUSA wrapping our hands around mice for feel and petting the 17" AlBook, an actual Apple Rep came up and asked if he could help. We told him we were looking for a Bluetooth mouse to use with the new Bluetooth PC card in the "old" TiBook. He frowned and said there are no Bluetooth PC cards that work in Macs. We told him we knew that, but there was a wonderful driver that makes particular cards work. He was astounded and said he would have to learn more about that. - Alexander, I hope you do not suddenly receive a cease-and-desist order from some Apple attourney!
Brian - the Rep - then handed us an Apple Bluetooth mouse. We appologized and said we needed right-click and scroll wheel. He showed us the Logitec m900 - the only other Bluetooth mouse in CompUSA - but pointed out that it did not have Mac support. We tried it and its basic functions work fine - especially if you let the batteries charge up first!

I wonder it works w/ billionton's PCMCIA adapter too?
seems billionton is just a copy of 3Com one.

Card Blues Suite ReviewExcellent! - Version: 1.2d2, 7/28/2004 11:47AM PST

I wish it worked with USB Overdrive (or something else) to provide mouse button command assignments. Using it with the 3Com card and a MacAlly BTMouseJr. Click, right-click, and scroll works, but scroll-click does not.

Card Blues Suite CommentaryOther cards? - Version: 1.2d2, 7/7/2004 09:44AM PST

Does anyone know if this supports other cards than the 3Com (or the HP branded version)?
I don't see us needing more than a meter or so range as we'll be using it mainly with a mouse, so an antenna is just something else to break off and lodge under the sofa cushions. The Zoom/Hayes 4312 has an antenna that "can be extended from the body of the card to increase range." and the Socket card has the CompactFlash form factor so it fits entirely inside the slot.

Card Blues Suite ReviewJust Stunning! - Version: 1.2d2, 5/21/2004 08:10AM PST

As previous reviewer I wanted to use a wireless mouse on my Pismo and didn't want a dongle hanging out the back. Discovered this driver completely by accident and thought I'd give it a go. Installed and a couple of days later i plugged in my cheaply bought (it had no drivers!) 3Com card and ........ instantly mounted, reported as it's correct description (with option to power down) and launched bluetooth. A faultless performance!!!!
