I agree with most of the posts here, but i don't experience any severe delays in loading (Specs below). Though i agree with the control issues. I found my copy on the bargain shelf at PC World, got it for £10, so won't complain too much ;)

DESTRYS GARAGABAND PLAYBACK!!! - Version: 1.0, 3/1/2004 10:45AM PST

Did some VERY strange things after install: in Garageband playing gets slowed down and the display of where you are in the composition is out of sync with what you hear!
I had a system backup (Carbon copy cloner) and could repeat the problem over and over again. As soon as 'Indy' was started once for a game, after that Garageband gets disabled in many ways!

Plays Better - Version: 1.0, 2/14/2004 04:26AM PST

I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.3.2 on my 800Mhz iMac and the game plays significantly better. The controls still suck, but at least it loads faster and the graphics are much smoother. In the previous OS version, the opening menu would take 3 minutes to load and each level took 1 1/2 minutes. In 10.3.2, the load times are nearly cut in half. Once I got used to the controls, I found the game was actually quite fun to play. Without the better performance, however, the unusual controls bad it nearly impossible to play.
This is so lame

pros:
• nice graphics
• easy opponents
cons:
• takes AGES to load
• ridiculous controls
• no quicksave or quickload
• when Indy dies the game sometimes won't continue, I have to go back to the main menu, which means:
• again unacceptable loading times (on a G4 Dual 1Ghz)
I actually wrote this while it was loading the 2nd level of Istanbul and it's still not done. I bite my ass for buying this crap >:-/

When you want to play this game make sure you can restart your computer afterwards.
I am using Panther, and after playing this game I get either missing mouse movement event (dock won't magnify when mouse moves over, menu item won't hightlight) or missing mouse (you can still click, but you can't see the mouse pointer).
Very annoying.
Also as many have commented, the controls and camera mode sucks.
I can't understand why I am playing a first-person game with a third-person camera.
Even when facing two or more enemies I often swing my fists at the air simply because the camera and Indy are looking at two different directions.
At least make it an option to choose.
An disappointment, unfortunately.

I was so looking forward to this game and bought it as soon as it came out - was I disappointed! The game has several flaws. First, as nearly everyone has commented on, the controls are horrible! It is nearly impossible to position Indy at the right spot for a critical jump. My impression is the authors gave no thought to keyboard contorl when the game was ported from it's console version. But, I could live with getting used to the controls if you could save at any point (such as before a critical jump), but you can't! The game automatically saves at certain points. My system meets the minimum requirements so I didn't expect it to run great, but it takes over three minutes to load the menu sequence and then another 1 1/2 minutes to load a level. I could live with that if the game was at least enjoyable to play. Another annoying thing is that, when you quit the game, the menu sequence re-loads which means, I have to wait another three minutes just to quit! I really wanted to like this game.
Could be great!

I hate the mouse/keypad controls as the others. This game would be on my Mac - PADI FOR, if the controls are fixed.
Some of them don't even work - can't defend that.

Awesome!

I do not agree with all the bad critisism of the demo. I have played it on my Powerbook 867 Mhz and it works real nice. Using a gamepad (logitech rumblepad) controlling Indy is a piece of cake. The gameplay/fighting is easy and the graphics are comparable to the Tomb Raider series.
Disappointed!

The guy who was complaining that the program takes too long to load is a moron. Play checkers.
However, this game is a real disappointment and I suspect, but do not know for sure, it is ASPYR's fault. It amazes me that they go to all the trouble of porting this thing and ruin it with their inability to program the controls. The game, other than the controls, is better than Tomb Raider. However, is is nearly impossible to control Indy and I have almost written off this game at the early stages. Further, for some reason you can't redefine all the keys, and even when you redefine those you can, the program, in their "Tips" they still think the old keys apply. Where is MacPlay when you need them? I am a firm supporter of Macintosh games, but when they are this poor quality, it makes me wonder what ASPYR is thinking.
