petercrockerThe only feature that differentiates it from freeware solutions (like Virtue, which I use on my MBP) is a visual view of your desktops, so you can drag and drop windows between them.

FRANK!EI just tried to write an email to "Dear Mr. Goldstein" (looks like he is the only Dude there working, because "support@codetek.com" is the same email address in the end as his...) and I almost loughed loud when I instantly after sending the mail got an error reply from his postmaster.... the email account is not anymore active! Great news!
For all of you waiting... like me... keep waiting as now I am almost certain that this product is dead (and 40 $ lost).
Also, people which are still using PPC, watch out with Adobe CS3 products cause the bindings are not working correctly with VirtueDesktop Pro 3.2.
Version 4 looks to be "Vaporware".
Really a sad story, such a great prodcut now depreciated.

IlgazThe latest versions of CodeTek VirtualDesktop and DockExtender run with Mac OS X 10.4.4 and lower. CTVD 3.2 also runs with Mac OS X 10.4.7 PowerPC machines. CTVD and DockExtender do not run well with Tiger 10.4.5 or higher on MacIntel machines. We are currently working on a new universal binaries version of CTVD Pro. This version will be CTVD Pro 4. To have your email address added to our early CTVD Pro 4 notification email list, or to file a bug report, email us at goldstein@codetek.com.
As soon as CTVD Pro 4 is released for beta testing, we will begin work on DockExtender v4, a universal binaries version. To have your email address added to our early DockExtender v4 notification email list, or to file a bug report, email us at goldstein@codetek.com.
Also, please note that with the release of CTVD 4, we will no longer support CTVD Lite. Any User who is registered for CTVD Lite should email us at goldstein@codetek.com and we will send you a CTVD Pro license at no additional charge.
Finally, we will no longer support CTVD 2.x.x with the release of CTVD 4. If you are using CTVD 2.x.x, you may Upgrade to CTVD Pro 3.2 by going to www.codetek.com/php/upgrade.php and following the CTVD Pro Upgrade path. The current version of CTVD 3.2 runs with Mac OS X 2.x. Thank you

Did 10.4.7 break CTVD for anyone else? - Version: 3.2, 7/17/2006 05:43PM PST

Markarian421The strange thing is, it didn't seem to happen all at once -- over the last couple weeks sometimes I would notice it wasn't there after logging in, so I would restart it. And if my memory serves me right, it stayed around for at least a while before crashing again -- I am sure I used it just last week while editing some digital photos. It was only the last few days where it would not work at all.
The only recent change I can think of is the 10.4.7 update.
Suggestons anyone? I'm still waiting to hear back from CodeTek, but I'm curious if anyone is using this with 10.4.7 with no problems. Thanks.
