Product Description:

You are the last of your kind. Bred for combat, built for war. You will fight on foot, in vehicles, in the air and beneath the surface of a mysterious alien ring orbiting in the depths of space.

Recognized as one of the greatest achievements in video game entertainment, the Xbox version of Halo has already sold over 3 million units and continues to be a top seller. The Macintosh version adds 16-person online multiplayer, new vehicles, new weapons, new maps, customizable multiplayer games, the precision of playing with a mouse and keyboard and more.

What's new in this version:

  • Additional functionality which provides reflective surfaces for objects and vehicles on some NVIDIA hardware has been added to the NV Shaders rasterizer.
  • A Model Reflections option has been added to the Halo Graphics Settings window. This option is only available in the ATI Pixel Shader and NVIDIA NV shader modes. We strongly recommend disabling this option on lower-end video hardware.
  • A PC game bug which prevented eMacs and other analog monitors with high refresh rates from syncing to 640x480 resolution has been fixed.
  • Some issues with hardware fogging when using the Vertex Shaders rasterizer have been addressed.

Never had a problem with my Intel MacBook Pro 17" until I installed Snow Leopard. Now multiplayer freezes at random times.

IMPORTANT: Halo owners who have not upgraded to an Intel-based Mac do not need to upgrade their version of Halo. They will still be able to play network games against owners of the Universal and PC versions.
