Never had a problem with my Intel MacBook Pro 17" until I installed Snow Leopard. Now multiplayer freezes at random times.

IMPORTANT: Halo owners who have not upgraded to an Intel-based Mac do not need to upgrade their version of Halo. They will still be able to play network games against owners of the Universal and PC versions.

Halo ReviewUNIVERSAL ONLY??? - Version: 2.0.2, 8/11/2008 02:44PM PST

The updater says it must locate the original universal application on the hard drive. We'll my version isn't "universal" and as far as I know the "original" version wasn't universal either. So my question is; WTH?!? This is still a great game and I hope we aren't going to be left out in the cold.

Bungie, the PC only company that sold out to Microsoft wants you to download this app killer so you now will have to have the CD in the drive or you wont be able to play. They "claim " that more Mac users have stolen it than bought it but you can't even buy Halo Mac anymore, they never produced enough to sell and used scalpers are selling it for 120 a pop for a game with 1999 tech ! You can find the PC version for 10 dollars. Screw them ! Don't download it, it's a trap.

Halo ReviewGood game but... - Version: 1.5.2, 2/26/2007 04:24PM PST

This is an excellent online shootem up game but it does have a probelm crashing once in a while when loading online maps. I also disagree with the previous statement that online play is dead. In fact it's far from it. I have not had any problems with people cheating either.

Halo Review1.5.2 works fine in 10.4.x (up to 7 at least) - Version: 1.5.2, 8/15/2006 09:24PM PST

The game works fine (aside from an atrocious UI), but the real problem is the abandonment of a PunkBuster type solution for Halo. I never really understood what the jazz is for these guys who cheat, but it's rampant and it's killed the game for the vast majority of online gamers.

So if you have a couple of friends with Halo, go at it, as it's still a great shoot'em up, and the FPS story is pretty damn good (if you're new to it), but the online multiplayer portion should be considered dead. :-(
