CD Spin Doctor 6.0.1 (Toast Titanium 10) is crap!

StevenFrankEarlier versions worked great.
After paying to upgrade to Toast Titanium 10 this piece is AWFUL.
It crashes.
It doesn't send all the track info to iTunes.
It sends very large AIFF files as well as the format you choose.
There is NO help available and from what I can tell NO support from the vendor.

studio144Since I don't use Spin Doctor's sound filters, I can live with it with this work around and for this limited purpose.
If you think you can fire this up and archive your vinyl (old and new) easily and satisfactorily, you can't.

4.0.2.333 Crashes - ? Auto define the culprit

CynicGenerally good program in the past but now crashes almost every time - I suspect it relates to Auto Define as when I resurrect a recording and define manually it doesn't crash.

Steve FrawleyBUT BEWARE, Don't necessarily load everything:
Motion Pictures HD is NOT the current latest (version 2.1.4t)
Disc Cover RE is NOT the current latest (version 1.5)
Roxio always keeps you guessing!

TexTomI've had every iteration of this app and the first couple (going back before OS X) were OK. Not great, but OK. Decent enough for very inexperienced recordists to try and fiddle with a decent LP or tape. But all versions I've tried (including this one) does far too much damage to the original sound with the 'repairs' made by the program.
I would also agree that the interface feels very non-mac in nature.
Roxio seems to be slightly out of touch in terms of value of product and upgrades. If you've got Toast 8, you've got this. If you don't have Toast 8, I wouldn't spend more than $20 on this. For the money, you're far better off getting Amadeus. The 'ease of use' this programs says it offers will ruin your recordings.

goranturnerGenerally this is fairly crappy piece of software that promises much and delivers little. Geniune case for update. But no go.

CD Spin Doctor for digitizing LPs

steeprockFinally CDSD has a nasty way of hanging and giving the spinning rainbow wheel which only a Force Quit can cure. All in all you get what you paid for (this comes for free with Toast) in this product, however Toast is expensive so I would have expected slightly better.
