Dead Pixel Identifier ReviewGreat Program - Version: 5.0.0, 7/9/2004 09:48AM PST

Registered to get full one - nice and cheap to do.

Good features in the first one include a line scan which reminds me of the thing at the start of the Outer Limits. Great program, looks like I got a dead pixel though.

Cheers guys!

Dead Pixel Identifier Developer NoteDead Pixel Identifier 4 Discontinued - Version: 4.0.2, 6/19/2004 09:58PM PST

Dead Pixel Identifier 4 has now been discontinued. We have begun work on version 5 which will see the welcome return of the widly missed 'Burn' feature. Unfortunatly, through some hardware problems, we lost all previous backups of the Dead Pixel Identifier source, however we will be starting from scratch and Dead Pixel Identifier 5 will be here soon. Thank you,

green doesn't work like the other colors.

Other colors work ok on multiple vga monitors.
Simply drag the control window to the other monitor.

Dead Pixel Identifier CommentaryCompared with v3.0.1, - Version: 4.0.1, 1/26/2004 03:26AM PST

... this seems like a downgrade. The only posted change was a removal in features. I guess it's time to scour the web for v3 if you want the burn feature, but the program is great without it. It is polished, does what it says, and is free. I would rate it five stars, but I haven't used v4 yet (I've used only v3).

When I was using stuff to check secondary monitor in system, the Green color was open on primary monitor only! That's not so bad, but I think developer have know about that bug:) Anyway, an excellent job!

Dead Pixel Identifier Troubleshooting ReportCan't get. - Version: 4.0.1, 1/25/2004 01:08PM PST

When I click on the download link, Netscrape renders the contents instead of saving to a file. When I save link target, the file gets named whatever.dmg.html. When remove the extension, it won't mount. I try the developer link, and get an under construction page. I guess nobody wants me to try this thing.

Dead Pixel Identifier ReviewGreat Product!! - Does exactly what it says! - Version: 3.0.1, 12/6/2003 03:11PM PST

A great utility, stopped me from buying a Mac with dead pixels!! Not seen it about before but after downloading I took a copy on CD with me to test the machine before I bought it. The staff in the shop thought I was crazy!! Thanks to this program I now have a pixel perfect Powerbook!

I also noticed the text problem as mentioned before, but it doesnt stop the program from working so it's not major.

Big thanks, I'll even make a dontation - saved me a lot of hassle and money in the long run!!

Cheers!
