Product Description:

A semi-3D Matrix Screensaver with a different approach to the Matrix; instead of having a simple matrix of glyphs, the screensaver arranges the glyphs in streams, which fall down independently of each other and glow upon intersecting with each other.
Features:
  • Fully independent streams that render a more complex display than simple matrix-based screensavers.
  • Ability to change the glyphs to be any color.
  • Smooth framerate functionality that automatically adjusts the complexity of the screensaver to suit the current amount of CPU power available. This can be set to draw an infinite amount of streams, if the computer can handle that many.
  • Subtle, specially formed statistics streams that display the current polycount and framerate of the screensaver.
  • Glyph size can be altered from 8x8 to 64x64, and four glyph sets are included.
Registered features:
  • Option to connect the current network speed to stream glyph speed; has the effect of speeding up the screensaver in times of high network activity.
  • Transparency, which displays the glyphs transparently over the desktop in real time.
  • Log file showing, which monitors a log file and displays its updates to the screen as streams.
  • Glyph color cycling over time, with customizable time settings.
  • Reversed and upside-down mode.
  • Ability to change the background color, and link it to the glyph color. (used when color cycling is enabled) When transparency mode is enabled, the user can modify the alpha value of the background color.

What's new in this version:

Non-registered:
  • Stream length can now be adjusted.
  • Option to reduce tearing added.
  • Option to only run on the main monitor added.
  • Smooth Framerate improved, now dynamically alters speed as well as density.
  • <3 image added.
  • Improved the rendered look of the glyphs by using mipmaps.
Registered:
  • Preferences cleaned up.
  • Two additional transparency modes added.
  • The screen saver can now show a series of movies and pictures, or show a webcam inside of the glyphs.
  • User-defined messages added.
  • Log files and messages can now be displayed horizontally.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2.
  • A decent 3D accelerator. A Rage 128 or better will suffice for most functions; however, at least a Radeon or GeForce 2MX is required for the pictures feature.

Cool screensaver, too. I was starting to think these other reviewers were in on "the scam"... but this screensaver is free and very cool, try it!
