TimeLog ReviewCausing kernel panics in 10.6 - Version: 4.5.2, 9/9/2009 01:38AM PST

manny khool
Since upgrading to OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) TimeLog has been causing kernel panics in most of my other applications.

Sure hope they update/fix this soon as I've only just recently bought it and I'm feeling a bit ripped off.

Also, there's a bit of a learning curve - doesn't seem to be as intuitive one might expect.

TimeLog ReviewTimeLog - Version: 4.4.3, 5/24/2009 09:01AM PST

I use TImeLog and the accompanying GrandTotal for invoicing. Both are wonderful pieces of software that have radically simplified and improved my time-tracking and invoicing processes. I've been in business for 4 years as an independent designer, and my least favourite part of business is estimating and invoicing. TimeLog helps me to keep a very clear picture of where the time gets spent, and charge appropriately.

TimeLog ReviewGreat - Version: 4.4.3, 4/27/2009 10:10AM PST

I've been using TimeLog for 3 months now and I'm totally happy with it.
The menu icon make it very easy to start and edit counters, and I use a lot the analysis reports to keep track of total times spent on my projects.
The king of software that make macs such a pleasure to use :)

I recently purchased TimeLog together with GrandTotal. Have tried several other apps, but this one is just great!

TimeLog ReviewBest Time tracking program - Version: 4.4.2, 1/26/2009 04:19AM PST

john.choi
I've been using Timelog for over two years and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Prior to using the software, I reviewed many time tracking software such as Timecache, iBiz, Studiometry, Officetime, Timebox, etc. Even tried a couple of web-based time tracking services.

The thing that stands it apart from the rest is a combination of a simple interface with a rich feature set. The 'iTune' like interface makes it really easy to drill down to find the set of information we need. We find the ability to enter time via iCal really useful. Simple and user friendly to enter and the data can be shared amongst the six users in our architectural practice. All of us have real time data of time spent on a project / phase.

On top of all this, the support/response I have received from the developer has been exceptional. Do yourself a favor and try this software.

TimeLog Troubleshooting ReportRounding off - Version: 4.3.6, 7/25/2008 03:22PM PST

First - I love love love this program. Now for the problem...

In this new version (4.3.6) I've been unable to get it to round off to 15 minutes - it rounds to 5 minutes by default. I have the preferences set to 15 minutes. Have restarted the program. Have restarted the computer. Preferences still say "always round up to 15 minutes" but it continues to round off to 5 minutes.

This led me to discover there is no support contact info on the mediaatelier.com website. Disappointed there - so I'm posting here for help or to report a possible bug in TimeLog 4.

Any suggestions welcome...

TimeLog ReviewWell Done, Again! - Version: 4.2, 2/25/2008 07:31AM PST

For people like me (not exactly disciplined) it is by far the best tool to keep track of the time you used on a project and actually BILL IT. The UI is sophisticated and very efficient. It even tells you when you used which app in order to reconstruct the work you did. Nice!

TimeLog Reviewgreat program but a few glitches to fix for version 4 - Version: 3.1.2, 10/11/2007 02:21PM PST

I was very excited to use this program for the first time and was ready to buy 15 copies for everyone in my office, but once it got down to printing there were a few glitches. (1) The printed total always read 0 no matter what the sum really was. (2) There was no way to print "hour" total rather than "cost" total - both are important. (3) The program really should sum up projects individually for you rather than just a grand total of all the projects for printing and billing. (4) I also find the ical opening and closing a nuisance. I did contact the company and they said these will be fixed in version 4. Until then we're still waiting to purchase anything. I have hope because it is so easy and user friendly though!

TimeLog ReviewGreat product running on hard times... - Version: 3.0.5, 5/13/2006 11:48AM PST

I've been using TimeLog to keep track of my hours for more than a year now, but having just purchased a MacBook Pro I'm running into some problems with it. The program restarts iCal every time I use it, which isn't a huge problem - not data seems to be lost - but is nevertheless inconvenient. I posted the problem on the developer's forum page under troubleshooting a week ago, but still haven't heard anything (there were two other posts at the very top of the troubleshooting page, both reporting the same problem, for which there was also no response). So all in all this has been a great program, but I'm disappointed by the slow response time and the glitch that seems to have cropped up with 10.4.6.
