Word Browser Plugin ReviewTHANK YOU Manfred Schubert!! - Version: 3.0, 4/20/2009 02:39PM PST

Ok, I'll admit it--I am almost giddy at the return of this simple, but wonderful plugin. I don't remember which system upgrade broke the previous version, but I have SO missed having the ability to view Word documents within Safari. Especially since a website I need to visit fairly frequently for work insists on posting their daily schedule in Word format--and even with Quick Look, it was still a pain-in-the-a$$ to have to download the document first every time. And then there are the sites that offer forms and templates in Word format--now I can look first and decide which to download.
I'm so happy to have this back, I would send the developer some money if there were a donate button somewhere. But in the meantime, thank you so much.

Word Browser Plugin CommentaryDumb 3.0 installer - Version: 3.0, 4/20/2009 02:04PM PST

Dumb 3.0 installer, it doesn't replace the 2.0.1 version, you have to do that manually....

I emailed the developer asking for kiosk support in his word plug-in and within a day I was testing it, and now it is released to the public. Couldn't ask for better support then this.

Thanks,

-Rhon

I have been downloading lots of word attachments from my workplace web mail for some time now, opening each with Word. i just discovered this plug-in, which has simplified this process greatly. My only regret is that I didn't find out about it sooner. A completely intuitive and easy to use piece of software that fills a need and makes life easier. Brilliant and highly recommended.

Installed easily (I didn't even have to restart Safari!). Top marks for very slick implementation - can't wait to use this on a daily basis, and avoid opening MS Word everytime I need to view (rather than edit) a Word doc. Love it.
