In combination with a GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver, ROUTE 66 Route USA 2004 shows you your precise location on the map, which means you will never lose your way again.
You can select various print options in ROUTE 66 Route USA 2004 when printing the calculated route and the result appears on your screen immediately, even before being sent to the printer.
ROUTE 66 Route USA 2004 contains more than 4,000,000 Points of Interest, including hotels, restaurants and petrol stations, most of which together with their addresses and telephone numbers.
You can add any roadblocks you feel necessary using ROUTE 66 Route USA 2004, for example in the event of road works, and the system automatically takes account of this during the route calculation.
The itinerary in ROUTE 66 Route USA 2004 uses the directions you encounter on road signs during your journey, which means you will never lose your bearings.

I bought this program from CompUsa, needless to say it works, but requires a beefy mac! It barely runns on my 466mhz ibook, and has a laggy feel. The GPS is ok, not the best... it often drops off due to a poor programing link, also crashes often especially if you plug and unplug a usb GPS device!!. Don't expect any support from this product from the makers ; countless emails, with no response! Thanks a lot you *censored*ERS!! you know exactly who you are! shame on you. P.S. This app has a huge memory leak!

No Support, No Bluetooth - Version: 3.6.0 build 3, 8/17/2004 06:52AM PST

Build 4 is on 66.com site. I have not been able to get route 66 to work correctly with a bluetooth GPS. 66.com does not give any feed back to which devices they have had work. I have emailed the Tech services 4 times now and have not recieved any more that an automatic response. I would like to support them as they are making the product for Mac, but they don't support there own product.

Even though I have not used Route 66 very long, I am pleased with the software, especially for cost involved. I use it with my Fortuna Clip on GPS and with accuracy to the foot, it gives me my location around Central Florida. I look forward to future enahncements to the software.
