Product Description:

Jetstream simply removes the large, space wasting localization packs from the OS X applications. This can save up to 18 MB from each application. This is an alpha release, and could be very dangerous. Use this program at your own risk, as there is the possibility of application damage. It allows removal of localizations from all Apple applications in the applications folder. It also allows one to remove the localizations from all the supported applications. It does not delete English, French, Italian, German, or Spanish, a future release will allow one to specify which major languages they would like to keep.

Please submit feedback, I need to know what should be done for Jetstream in future releases.

Fixed a lot of bugs that I hadn't noticed before. Added progress bar.

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS 10.1 or higher
  • All Applications to be streamlined must be in the Applications folder of the main hard drive.

This is no longer safe to use with OS X. Use Delocalizer instead. This application is no longer supported.

I read the caution and didn't blink. Streamlined individual apps at first and was realizing the minimum (18 mb) stated amounts from each app; then ran it for all apps, realizing over 100 Mb total reduction as noted on my harddrive. If this is just alpha/beta, it worked without a hitch. On some apps I didn't notice any activity or very little, but others such as safari, iphoto, ie there was more activity including the progress bar visibly active. Great application to free up much needed harddrive space. It does exactly what it says it will do. Kudos to the creator. I use osx 10.3.1.
