Santa Paravia & Fiumaccio CommentaryRe: I'm King!! - Version: 1.0, 11/30/2003 11:40AM PST

Yep, if you're on the Apprentice level and just keep smacking Enter, you will eventually win. The trick is that if you actually try changing settings, you can win faster (and if you don't play on Apprentice mode, you almost need to). If you're playing against someone and they're making changes while you are not, they will beat you.

Santa Paravia & Fiumaccio CommentaryIf I could unstuff it... - Version: 1.0, 11/30/2003 11:36AM PST

I downloaded it twice and each time StuffIt 8 told me the download was corrupt and couldn't be opened. Wish I could check it out as I never had an Apple ][ and would like to see what Mac people did with their time back in the day. Any suggestions?

Santa Paravia & Fiumaccio CommentaryI'm King!!! (How did that happen?) - Version: 1.0, 11/30/2003 09:48AM PST

I never had an Apple II, but figured I'd try this one anyway just for kicks. Like most, I don't read the instructions so I just started playing...

Best I can tell, there are three "Done" buttons to click for each "round" -- I slapped the return key about 30 times in succession without doing anything else, and I won -- I am King!!!

Is there some drama I'm missing? I imagine gameplay was limited all those years ago, but was it so bad that this passed for excitement? Someone enlighten me --
