Math Wizard Pro ReviewRandom numbers - Version: 0.7.51, 1/8/2007 08:24PM PST

Very nice program, neatly packaged. I downloaded this for my daughter to practice her multiplication tables.

I do have issues with the random number generation: I'm finding (X * 1) and (X * 0) show up a little too frequently, and I never see the integer multiplied by itself, i.e., 2*2, 4*4 etc.

REALLY like the timer option. With a little tweaking this program will be perfect.

Math Wizard Pro Troubleshooting ReportProblem with random number generator - Version: 0.7.51, 9/17/2004 05:19AM PST

I tried it out and there's clearly a problem with the random number generator. All subtraction results were around 5 or 50. There was some variation in them -- some 51's and some 45's and 46's, but no variation from that in about 30-40 trials. If it's written in Cocoa, you might want to try my RandomSequence Obj-C class, a thread-safe wrapper for the random(3) system call.

Math Wizard Pro CommentaryDistribution Package Changed - Version: 0.7.5, 11/29/2003 07:10AM PST

I changed the distribution package to only a .sit file, not a .dmg file inside a .sit file for direct installation on OS 9-only systems.

Nice, clean, and professional looking app. Does what it's supposed to, and does it in a sharp manner. I'd like to be able to choose numbers 1 through 15 in multiplication, rather than 1 or 2 digits. Very nice job!
