When for just a bit more, you can get Mark/Space missing sync that adds a memopad conduit and desktop app plus a TON more features? (iPhoto & iTunes sync, desktop mounting, AvantGo support, etc.)

HotSync USER = (joe hobson)
MemosDB-PMem open error(4003)
iPMemoConduit synchronization failed
“iPMemoConduit” failed (error = #16387)

Efficient way to work with your palm os memos

This program provides an efficient way to view, edit and print palm os memos without having to load the palm desktop. Note: I had a problem with loading the program (that turned out to be caused by font corruption). The developer responded quickly to my questions and helped me locate the problem and fix it.
Sort doesn't work-- yet. Otherwise fine. - Version: 0.2.0, 5/1/2004 02:40PM PST

I've been relying on this little app since Panther OS upgrade broke the ability to sync a Sony Clie to Palm Desktop (using The Missing Sync).
Although release 0.2.0 is billed as having a newly added sort function, I've not been able to make it work.
Have corresponded with the software author Masaru Matsumoto, who says: "A sort function is available when a memo was added or it was changed. A sort function will be made available in the next version when iPalmMemo is started and when a sort function is set up."
I think he means that newly added or changed memos are supposed to be sorted in this version, but only with a future version will we be able to sort memos at will. However, I don't find that there's any sorting effect in the current version, even with newly added or changed memos.

memo loss - Version: 0.2.0, 4/27/2004 03:06PM PST

If one both renames a memo on the Palm handheld and deletes the version with the old title on the desktop, then the newly renamed memo on the handheld and its contents are lost during a synchronization.

Simple little app. I still wish that iCal would support Memos, but since it doesn't...
Could use the ability to choose a color for each catagory.
Could definately use an auto save funciton.
Could support closing the window without closing the program. I suppose this is tied to the saving issue.
Anyway, if you want to ditch Palm Desktop for the native Mac Apps, (which I suggest) then this is the last piece of the puzzle.

note pad question - Version: 0.2.0, 4/7/2004 07:14AM PST

I always thought it would be GREAT if the AddressBook app had a built-in "memo pad," so that would be one less reason to depend on the Palm Desktop app, eventually eliminating the need to have it some day.
Is this Memo App depenant on Palm Desktop? Is it a standalone app, or an addition to iSync?
