Product Description:

Rendezvous Browser is a utility that lets you see all available Rendezvous services on your local network. It comes complete with a list of default services to scan for as well as letting you add your own services. I added all the Rendezvous services I could find. If you know of any others, please let me know.

What's new in this version:

  • Added a new application icon
  • Added 5 new services: _ichat._tcp.,_workstation._tcp., _MacOSXDupSupress._tcp., _shoutcast._tcp. and _netmonitorserver._tcp.
  • Fixed _nssocketport._tcp. to be attributed to "Cocoa Distributed Objects" instead of "iShare"
  • Fixed Trivial FTP to be _tftp._udp. instead of _tftp._tcp.. Remember to remove the old _tftp._tcp. service from preferences
  • Added preference called "Browse for known Jaguar services". What this does is, when Browse for all services is turned on, it continues to browse specifically for the list of known services rather than just for the list that Browse for all services returns. The reason being, Jaguar machines and old hardware don't respond to the meta-query used for Browse for all services. This isn't a problem if there is a Panther machine or new hardware on the network that does, but if the Jaguar machine/old hardware is the only service of that type offered, it wouldn't show up. With Browse for known Jaguar services, it will (assuming it's in the list of known services)

Rendezvous Browser ReviewVery handy tool - Version: 1.5.6, 6/18/2009 01:06PM PST

This little utility will show you all the services advertising themselves via Bonjour (mDNS) on your local network. This can be handy for finding the IP address of a machine, router, printer, etc.
Works fine on Leopard 10.5.7

For those wondering, Bonjour Browser still works fine with Leopard. I am using it with Mac OS X 10.5.6 Server and getting full functionality.
