AddressWeb Troubleshooting ReportAddressWeb: problem with large files - Version: 2.5, 8/12/2005 10:44PM PST

AddressWeb is very useful UNLESS one has a large number of entries in the Address Book. Mine has about 800. The application saves about half of them then goes into spinning-beachball mode.

v2.5 has some nice improvements. However, here's my "wish list":

1. The first line should be either (a) the company name (if that record is marked as a business), or (b) last name, first name (or first, last -- the user should have a choice).

2. The first line (business name or person name) should be in bold with an option to have that first line a larger font size.

3. Include more fields as options (such as birthdays, etc.).

4. The second style (Drop shadows & colors) is a good idea, but the choice of a gray background with lime green text with a red border is terrible. It would be nice if we could choose any web color for the four parts: page background, table cell background, text color, and border color.

Thanks for this free program. With the above changes, I think it would make it more useful, and certainly easier to find names of people and business.
