Product Description:

The plug-in adds a new "Clippings" menu to Xcode allowing developers to quickly gain access to snippets of code and other text resources directly from the Xcode menu bar. The "clippings" are text files that are stored in any number of subfolders within a primary clippings folder. Each subfolder within the primary folder becomes a menu item in the menu which, when selected, offers the user the ability to select one or more items for insertion into the front source document.

What's new in this version:

The update removes a previous limitation that required users to keep the code editor in a project window closed when using source documents open in separate windows. The new version allows any combination of windows.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.3 or higher

Xcode Clippings Menu CommentaryI agree with encro... - Version: 1.0.1, 11/10/2004 07:57PM PST

MacHead
There are just too many steps to get a clipping into the editor. Why not just choose it from a hierarchical menu instead of all the intervening steps?

encro

I was considering purchasing this BUT...

Until you are able to drop a textClipping straight from the menu into the source code this really is no better than having a folder in your dock and using a combination of drag 'n drop and exposé to accomplish the same task.

maybe in the next version.
