Product Description:

Postfix Enabler turns on Panther's built-in Postfix mail server with just one click (though Postfix, unlike sendmail, isn't that hard to set up via the command line). Allows PowerBook users to send mail wherever they are, whenever they want, so long as they have an Internet connection. Can also allow mail adminstrators to set up a fully-functioning mail server with POP3 capability.

What's new in this version:

Unlike Sendmail Enabler, Postfix Enabler has controls to turn on and off the smtp and the POP3 functions separately, as and when required. Also, unlike sendmail, Postfix on Panther does not need a restart when the system wakes up from sleep, reboot, or when its IP address changes. It takes it all in its stride.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.3 or higher

Postfix Enabler for Panther ReviewFantastic piece of software - Version: 1.2.2, 5/28/2008 09:23PM PST

I've been using this for over 2 years and have never had any problems with it. I think it does what it says it does, and for ten bucks? how can I complain? If you have problems with port 25 use gmail! it's an encrypted port which is never blocked!
