I think that Beholder is coming along nicely. The updates could be a little quicker. I'm looking forward to the additional search options. When it's completed I'm sure that it will be even better than the previous version. I think that I'm the only one who is going to miss the eyeball icon. I liked it!

Beholder Developer NoteFor users of Beholder 2.1.1 and earlier... - Version: 3.0a1, 11/5/2006 04:41PM PST

As the current engine was a bit outdated (and only functions somewhat reliably with AllTheWeb), we've completely rewritten Beholder from scratch. The first public release of this new version (Beholder 3.0a1) is now available. Though it is not yet feature complete, it does once again fully support Google image search, and will eventually include the oft-requested "sort by size" feature (probably in 3.01a2).

When the final version of Beholder 3.0 is released, it will be a free upgrade for all current registered users, and will remain at its $19.95 price for new users.

Thanks for your support.

Beholder ReviewI don't get it - Version: 2.1.1, 9/24/2006 07:10PM PST

I downloaded this to try it. The first thing I noticed is there is no Google search!

I can only search one source at a time (not serious)

When I get results I click a thumbnail and see the very ugly enlargement of the thumbnail (far better to just look at the thumbnail)

I cannot see any way to view the original full size image. There is no URL to the original. There is a link which when clicked results in a URL too long error.

It is fast but it is useless if I can't even find the source of the images.
