For everyone not familiar with Sogudi, I recommend you go to Learntomac.com and see how this plug can improve Safari. There are two tutorials on this plugin, one showing the basic use and the other showing how to customize it. I think this is a great plugin for Safari myself.

Sogudi CommentaryNot for Macs with Intel processors - Version: 0.4.6, 2/25/2006 04:53AM PST

Serious
This is one of the most brilliant pieces of software ever written. I love it and use it daily on my iBook G4.
On my iMac Core Duo, however, it refuses to work. After the installation, it simply isn't integrated into Safari, you can't even chose it from the Safari menu.

It works when you open Safari under Rosetta (-> info-panel) but since this slows down Safari quite a bit, it's not an acceptable solution for me.

Hope to see an universal binary soon !

Sogudi ReviewGreat, but 10.4.3 trouble - Version: 0.4.6, 11/8/2005 11:42PM PST

Indomitable
This is the single most useful piece of third party software I have ever seen. I can think of almost nothing that could improve it. Small, useful, simple, its brilliant. Unfortunately since I updated to 10.4.3 it has stopped working. It worked in 10.4.0 but now Im suffering from a severe slowdown now that I am without it, I really hope it gets fixed soon.

And nothing more.

Sweet, simple, and to the point. While Saft can do a multitude of things, Sogudi was meant to do ONE thing, and it does it well, without any muss or fuss. Look at the small footprint of the program. The interface is easy to use and has saved me a LOT of time waiting for webpages to load just to enter in a simple search string.

Best of all, the price is right. Heck, I'm gonna be donating to this guy to encourage him to maintain this program.

Whining about what amounts to a watermark on a fine piece of freeware is like complaining that no dessert came with the free meal.

This little add-on is flawless, unubtrusive and works great. Convenient and time-saving, once you get used to it, you won't be able to use a browser that doesn't have it. Combined with acidsearch it makes Safari the envy of the WWW.

It's a good thing the developer has a sense of humor, or he'd just yank this little gem! Safari Sogudi! Hee... hee... hee...
