Product Description:

Sogudi is an add-on for Apple's Safari Web Browser that allows you to visit and search your favorite sites using just a few simple keystrokes in the location bar instead of long and complex URLs. These shortcuts allow you to enter additional parameters that would not be possible with standard bookmarks. Sogudi comes loaded with several common shortcuts and more can be added by the user.

For example: Typing "vt text edit" in Safari's address bar will load the search results page from VersionTracker.

You can also type search terms into the address bar just like you can in the Google Search field from Apple. The difference is that Sogudi allows you to change the search engine you use.

Sogudi now allows you to view unix man pages directly in Safari by entering "man:command" into the location field.

For everyone not familiar with Sogudi, I recommend you go to Learntomac.com and see how this plug can improve Safari. There are two tutorials on this plugin, one showing the basic use and the other showing how to customize it. I think this is a great plugin for Safari myself.

This is one of the most brilliant pieces of software ever written. I love it and use it daily on my iBook G4.
On my iMac Core Duo, however, it refuses to work. After the installation, it simply isn't integrated into Safari, you can't even chose it from the Safari menu.

It works when you open Safari under Rosetta (-> info-panel) but since this slows down Safari quite a bit, it's not an acceptable solution for me.

Hope to see an universal binary soon !
