Product Description:

Chat with other people in a visual 2d environment, create custom Avatars to present yourself and share them with others.
Use your webcam to make avatars.
Speech balloons and all that other fun stuff.
Turn speech on to let mac os speak what people say.
Paint stuff in rooms that other users can see.
Transfer files to and from your PalaceChat friends.

What's new in this version:

New preference for Home Palace for connecting on startup.
New "new window" checkbox in connection window.
Downloaded props are now checked for corruption via crc.
Doors are now anti aliased and alittle thicker.
Can now select a custom speech bubble color.
Fixed bug in authoring when dragging doors.
Speech bubble code is now timed exactly like the old palace client.
Redesigned preferences window.
Default prop name and format preference for prop creation.
Holding Option allows you to click drag yourself.
Chat log style has been visually improved.
Can now turn on and off scroll locking for chat log.
Fixed double clicking issues of props in prop window.
Webcam feature is now back and with a few fixes.
Muting someone now removes any speach bubbles they have displayed.
Props are now moderately downloaded to prevent disconnection.
New feature to append the name of the currently playing itunes song to your profile.
Can now drag and drop images from other programs into the room or on yourself.

...I do believe no one uses it any more. All the chat rooms are completely empty. I wonder how they're paying for the servers that host this software when it seems nobody is using it?
