Product Description:

PalaceChat is chat software that allows you to interact with other users within a 2d environment online. You can wear, make and share Avatars made from images or maybe your own imagination! You can also design your own virtual world (if you're up for the challenge), with animations, video, games, prop rooms, using whatever imagery suites your taste. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

What's new in this version:

- Script errors now get its own separate log window. - New software update window. - Cleaned up Appearance Preferences a bit. - Fixed bug with REMOVEPROP script function. - Added ONMACRO event with macronum property. - ADDLOOSEPROP, DONPROP, and REMOVEPROP can now be passed prop names. - (Mac) Toolbar now saves custom settings in Leopard. - (Mac) Removed Safari toolbar button (it was pretty useless). - (Mac) Added Operator toolbar button. - (Mac) Removed growl support since it leaked a lot of memory. - Other minor changes in preparation for iptscrae support.

...I do believe no one uses it any more. All the chat rooms are completely empty. I wonder how they're paying for the servers that host this software when it seems nobody is using it?
