iTunes Catalog CommentaryPlay music? - Version: 2.1, 7/21/2006 03:16AM PST

MacBelwinds
Does anyone know how to get this neat little application to actually PLAY the displayed music title in a website? Whenever I clickt the titles, I only get a pale Quicktime logo but no music is played.

This could be or perhaps is the ultimate solution for musicians to present their demo music to the public. But as I say, I cannot get it to work...

iTunes Catalog ReviewBe careful before you try to buy... - Version: 2.0.1, 7/10/2006 08:15PM PST

I purchased the upgrade to Version 2 by opening Version 1 and clicking on "buy" which allowed me to purchase it for $9.99 via a link to PayPal. The bad news is that after paying, I have yet to hear from them with the registration number. I don't know if they're out of business or what but it looks like I'm out 10 bucks.

iTunes Catalog CommentaryThere's no way to upgrade from 1.x version to 2.x - Version: 2.0, 4/4/2006 03:05PM PST

Mike Silverman
I have searched high and low to figure out how to upgrade from the 1.x version to the new 2.0 version. The developer's web site says that the upgrade price is $9.99 but all the various "buy it now" pages and buttons take me to a purchase page for the full $25.00 price.

Has anyone figured out how to get the upgrade price? ITunes Catalog 2.0 looks awesome and I'd like to support this developer but it is very frustrating that they do not make it easy to upgrade.

iTunes Catalog Review.. but the import eventually gets there - Version: 2.0, 4/4/2006 09:33AM PST

.. and 'Publish Catalog' is very slick - check it out. Overall this is a serious update and worth the upgrade price, imo.

iTunes Catalog CommentaryOverall v.2 is better organized - Version: 2.0, 4/3/2006 09:56PM PST

slob--2008
but the v.1 artwork import isn't working well - the menu import command ramdomly vanishes and there's no feedback or progress bar to show if anything's really happening or not.

iTunes Catalog Troubleshooting ReportAccount suspended? Can't download - Version: 2.0, 4/3/2006 12:50PM PST

Can't download the latest iTunes Catalog v2. The URL says "account suspended". Shame I was a loyal licensed user of the prior versions. Presumably the problem is only temporary.

iTunes Catalog ReviewDeveloper has not responded for months - Version: 1.8.4, 3/30/2006 08:59AM PST

Does anyone know if Kavasoft is still in business? I have been trying to get a new code for my new computer since December or January, with REPEATED emails to their tech support (they don't have a phone number), and have gotten ZERO response of any kind.

The license codes are tied to a particular machine, so you need to get a new one if you switch machines. I paid for this program just last August, and expect to get more than 6 months of usage out of it for my $20!!

The program works well, and is the most efficient way I've found to grab large numbers of images and check them before actually putting them into iTunes. But if I can't use it, what's the point???

iTunes Catalog ReviewNot perfect, but works well - Version: 1.8.4, 1/9/2006 11:56AM PST

psr--2008
I registered iTunes Catalog in January 2004 (almost 2 years) and have been happy. Occasionally it gets mixed up, but always fixes itself after it is quit and restarted. I have not had any problems with iTunes Catalog locating the correct images.

iTunes Catalog ReviewCould be alot better - Version: 1.8.4, 1/2/2006 02:32PM PST

Hasn't been updated since June. Serial number is tied to your computer and I have had issues with authorizing it to run on my computer. Not worth the trouble.

iTunes Catalog Commentary.Mac integration no longer works. - Version: 1.8.4, 11/28/2005 09:34PM PST

cwaddington_dotmac
The .mac integration no longer works under Tiger 10.4.

I emailed Kavasoft and to be fair they did respond after a couple of days. But it has been weeks (months?) now and they haven't released a patch. While I'm whining I might as well complain that a fairly obvious cataloging feature that I proposed as an enhancement still hasn't been implemented- the ability to list just the albums and their appropriate artwork (think of looking at your physical CD collection)

I hope Kavasoft fix this stuff. I like this app (i'm a registered user)
