Oxford 922 FireWire Usage Tipnot only for 922 chips - Version: 1.06, 6/23/2005 07:33AM PST

Strikes me why this is called "922". Just updated a firewire housing with 911 chip built-in, successfully.

Kudos though to Versiontracker for making this download available. Oxford offers nothing but the Upload PDF manual. @ Oxford: 'TNX' a lot!

Oxford 922 FireWire CommentaryDon't listen to Alex! - Version: 1.06, 11/5/2003 08:32AM PST

Cowicide

Alex, if YOU read MacFixit carefully you would see this:

MacFixit: we continue to recommend caution when using FireWire drives with Panther, regardless of the connection speed (400 vs. 800) or the chipset used.

Alex, I suggest you get your facts straight next time before you end up steering people towards disaster (complete loss of data and backups). When it comes to issues like this, I read MacFixit VERY carefully.

Oxford 922 FireWire Reviewdoesn't do anything - Version: 1.06, 11/1/2003 09:24AM PST

I tried to update my spark 800 with the program I got from FirewireDirect. After launching the program, it just sat on my dock. It didn't anything at all.
