Garbage App, yes. Complete crap. I put 2 files in the trash, coming from another HD than the startup disk, it shows 0 files and 0 Mb. Then, I create a folder in OSX, trash it, and it shows 2 files. What the heck ??

This missing function in OS X has irked me to no end since the day OS X 10.0 was released. Why Apple has left this basic function out is beyond me. People usually want to know if there is 10 or 1000 items in their Trash before emptying it. I know I do. That said, this app does what it says, although truthfully, there are a few apps out there now which offer thsi function and more. iCan is an example, although it's not free. Same is true of many others. This is free which is good. I suspect that this may be an Applescript descigned to read the # of items in .Trash and throw up a dialog whcih, depending on what you click on "Yes" or "No" will issue the Empty Trash command. A few things: IMHO the default button should NOT be Yes. That could be bad if someone hits return out of habit and there was more in the trash than they expected. Second, if there were a way to "map" this application to the default Cmd-Shift-Delete function to override the Finder, THAT would make it more useful.
