plaintiger

gosh, i'm in a quandary here; maybe somebody can help me out. should i buy Startup Chime Stopper for $15.00, or should i go with StartupSoundPrefPane, which

- gives me the option not only of silencing the startup chord, but adjusting its volume independent of the volume settings in my Sound pref pane, and

- lets me do it all through a simple, intuitive, self-explanatory UI, and

- is free?

i hate these tough questions. can anybody help me out? what would Groucho do?
