Product Description:

psDoom lets you literally kill most any running process on your system by shooting or punching it's representation in the Doom world to death. If you just wound the monster/process/application, its processing priority will be decreased. If you kill it, the process is in-turn, killed as well. It's surprisingly FUN!
psDoom is pre-compiled. All you have to do is type ./psdoom in X11. For more detailed information for people new to unix, go here.

Still works in Tiger (10.4), but by the time you get all of your dashboard processes and everything else in there, the courtyard gets too crowded to be useful.

Love it anyway!

psDoom ReviewGood, but poorly implemented? - Version: 1.0, 11/3/2003 03:57PM PST

EXCELLENT idea!!! :)
The only problem is, I've only seen the monsters representing processes once - they're in an unreachable courtyard in the first level, and you can only see them from a distance. Perhaps they're randomly placed, and I was unlucky?

This 'game' is just plain excellent! Wicked idea, and for the record, it works fine in panther, just need to have the doom1.wad you can download from the VT page in the same folder where psDoom resides, and it will rock da house.

Careful with the processes you kill though ;-)

Is there just a way to have a bigger window?
