Product Description:

Ultimate pen allows you to draw anything on top of any application. It is most useful when working with presentation software allowing you to add notes, make comments, and add illustrations on the screen. It can also be used with a group when brain storming or working out the kinks in that new project.

What's new in this version:

  • Enhancements
    • None.

  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed screenshot code to work properly on Mac OS X 10.5 and later.
    • Fixed display of system wide hot key on other keyboard layouts such as Dvorak and AZERTY.
    • Now uses ColorSync to get appropriate color from AppleScript commands.

The FAQ about Ultimate Pen states:

"There are other presentation applications available that do not lock out other apps, and Ultimate Pen does work with those." and "There are other presentation applications available that stay in presentation mode when Ultimate Pen comes to the front, and Ultimate Pen does work with those."

But these do not include Keynote or Powerpoint, respectively.

So which presentation applications DO work?

We use Ultimate Pen on our classroom computers that are attached to TV monitors. It is a GREAT way for teachers to demonstate various lessons to kids, such as editing.

A lot of work/tweaking has been going on but I still
can't see how it gets the $20 price tag.
FlySketch also costing twenty bucks would be good
choice to download as a comparison of what a really
innovative product looks like.
