Super Shut Down ReviewWorks Great - Version: 2.1, 11/15/2005 10:59AM PST

This is a very handy little utility. I'm often switching between boot partitions and forgetting to hold down the option key, this will streamline the process.

Super Shut Down CommentaryNo valid OS X, it says - Version: 2.1, 11/4/2005 07:50AM PST

newsdesker
Super Shut Down says I don't have a valid operating system, which is news to me, since, well, my old dual processor G4 is working just fine with 10.4.3. Perhaps it doesn't recognize 10.4.3?

A new version of Super Shut Down ! Nice, this utilitie is not dead ! I'm using the beta release since one year, without trouble.

Good point, the new release is better for security : the administrator password is now stored in the keychain, it is really more secure.

Super Shut Down Usage TipA Better Alternative - Version: 1.0.2, 1/31/2004 11:16PM PST

Give Unsanity's FruitMenu a try if you want a quick and simple way to perform shutdowns and restarts. It doesn't give you other options, but it does let you eliminate the confirmation dialogs that take up needless time. And, to "blueskymining," if it takes that long for your Mac to startup or shutdown, you have something wrong with your system (hardware and/or software). If you think any Windows system compares in any way to a Mac system, you really shouldn't attempt to use a Mac.

Super Shut Down ReviewWorks,but needs Work - Version: 1.0.2, 1/31/2004 12:06PM PST

I have been using this for about six months and I am looking forward to the Auto Start and Shutdown feature which is promised. In the mean time I find it useful for selecting Boot drives and OSs' . Although the the App unexpectantly quits and will on occasion not see a Volume as having a valid Bootable OS on it, While Apple's Start Up Disk works just fine. This Product is headed in the right direction for me But needs work on it. When some of the issues are addressed and the Auto Function is working I would not mind if it moved into shareware. Mind though if I find something else before then "I gone".
At this time I would not recommend this Pkg. to an average user.
It would be helpful if the developer gave out his E_Mail address.

This is a total waste if time; developer if you want to accomplish something that will serve Mac Humanity, PLEASE figure out a way to have Mac OS X .2 or .3 start faster or shut down faster than it takes for a sapling to grow into a tree!

I can start up my Compaq Presario 2.2Ghz notebook running Windoze XP Pro, check my email and then shut down, in less time than it takes for Jag-wire or Panther to just finish launching! I've gone to work and come back for lunch, and OS is still shutting down!

Now who makes a boated OS??
