SpaceInBack ReviewNice, but... - Version: 1.0, 10/19/2003 08:08PM PST

as others said, very little possibilities for configuration. It dls the images to my Pictures folder. Yes, but what if I want to dl them to a different folder? And then show that different folder? As it is, I use the program to dl images, then I move them manually to a different folder, and then in the System Preferences it is set to display that different folder.
Oh, and I believe in Panther the "Set as Desktop" button doesn't work.

SpaceInBack ReviewNASA images too small for desktop - Version: 1.0, 10/18/2003 10:45PM PST

The developer must find sources for native desktop resolution pics - otherwise a terrific idea, I like that it's a prefpane. Installed and operates fine on Panther 7b85.

SpaceInBack ReviewInstalled and as quickly uninstalled! - Version: 1.0, 10/18/2003 05:20PM PST

It does do what it says but it gives you very little control on how it does it other than when it downloads and what it does with old pix.

While this may be a boone to those with dial-up connections, those of us with broadband want a little more....such as:

1. Options to resize the picture to fit various desktops and tiling schemes. As it is now it just tiles a smallish picture across the screen. On some pictures this might be OK but other just look..well...dorky.

2. Option to download larger files for higher quality desktops. Instead of resizing a small picture to fill the screen adding the option to download the higher resolution file to do the same you be a great feature.

3. Option to change the picture at predetermined intervals. Such as every hour or 30 minutes...or whatever.

Of course it is hard to complain about a freeware program but in its current form it won't be installed on my computer. Also it is a 1.0 version and these features maybe added in future versions, in which case I would have no problems donating to the author!

In other words, try it, you might like it, if not the author nicely includes instructions for easy removal!
