We require a certain number of special characters in our passwords. This app, while fully capable, does not give us that option. But it's nice and it's fast and it's free.

The app is simple and does exactly what you would expect. It generates large (up to 32 alphanumeric) random passwords. The only additional feature I would want, would be an option to include punctuation. As is, this is usefull as it saves me from reading labels from products and picking letters at random.

Uh - hackers do not guess at passwords - at least not the hackers we need worry about. No - they run programs with extensive dictionaries. Maybe 500,000 words. What they cannot get, except with time, are randomly generated passwords. Let's face it: if it's a password you can easily remember, like 'PENCIL' (WarGames), it's no protection at all.
