This small app is actually the finest weather app I have seen that does not belong in the menubar. Alas that it is only available for Japan. The graphics are quaintly Japanese, and after clicking on each of the buttons to see what they do, was impressed to see various types of forecast presented. I have pals in Hokkaido, so was pleased to see one of the maps was dedicated to this beautiful island. Would like to have a version with English buttons, menus etc, but hope that the overall Japanese flavour is maintained.

Other weather apps worthy of note are WeatherPop (freeware) and WeatherPop advance (which I have bought - truly excellent, although only allows 3 favourites).

This app has much prettier graphics, but is localized to weather only in Japan.

Maybe if you need to know about the weaher in Japan, this could be worth the $7 to you.
