Product Description:

The application provides updated firmware for DLink modules revision B2 or later, and Apple Bluetooth internal modules on PowerBooks and PowerMacs.

What's new in this version:

The Bluetooth Firmware Updater 1.0.2 provides improvements in the update installation process, better performance when waking the computer from sleep, and support for additional key commands during startup.

The Bluetooth Firmware Updater 1.0.2 is for D-Link USB Adapters (revision B2 or later), and Apple internal Bluetooth modules on PowerBooks and PowerMacs. This firmware update will improve connectivity between the computer and the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. Use this updater for the modules specified above; this updater is unsupported with any other Bluetooth modules.

Important: Using this firmware update will make your Bluetooth module incompatible with Windows based systems.

To avoid any potential problems with performing this update, the USB Bluetooth adapter should be plugged into the computer, not a keyboard, mouse or USB hub. If the firmware updater does not appear to work the first time, try running it again.

Apple Bluetooth firmware CommentaryFor whom is this update intended? - Version: 1.2.1, 6/14/2006 04:37PM PST

I checked my Software Update, and the new firmware didn't show up, I checked the version of Bluetooth firmware on my Rev A G5 iMac and it shows as 2.1586. What gives? I never downloaded the last update either, it didn't seem intended for my machine. It would be nice if Apple specified which models the firmware applies to.

Apple's page says that if you successfully updated to 1.2 BT Firmware this update isn't necessary.

Hope this helps!
