Product Description:

Panther Showdown is a handy little app that will count down the time until the best operating system for the best platform is released! Panther Showdown uses Apple's interface from their website. You may set opacities, and ask it to float above all windows, so you will always know how much longer you have to wait!

(Using code written by Mike Evans for Panther Countdown).

What's new in this version:

  • Changed "Transparency" to "Opacity"
  • Added a fun little circular NSSlider
  • Removed excess menu items
  • Deleted unnecessary files in contents to make package smaller
  • Implemented Hide/Show Buttons, but have not yet connected them :-)
  • Minor UI tweaks
  • Preference window now resizable

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2 or higher

Panther Showdown CommentaryAnyone copy the JavaScript code from Apple's web page? - Version: 2.0, 10/27/2003 06:35AM PST

Title says it all. Anyway, an HTML page with the JavaScript code and the resources (images) would be more useful, because the images/background could be edited and the whole schlock could be used on custom web pages for all sorts of announcements. Not that it's all that difficult to program, but why waste time if someone else has already done it?
