Differences Examiner ReviewSuch lame recommendations below - Version: 3.1, 7/24/2008 08:21PM PST

Born Yesterday
First off my only intention was to compare 2 text file's contents and have some way of highlighting the differences, Differences Examiner did it, slow as hell but it did it right.

But those stupid and useless recommendations below were just lame!
Let's see there was TextWrangler & DiffMerge , my dead grandmother could have out run these lame ducks.
FileMerge , don't make me laugh, what a useless POS that was.
opendiff - Maybe on Tiger but not on Leo, and I can't stand Xcode tools, bloated and cumbersome.

I guess with all the other choices mentioned, Differences Examiner slaughtered them by a long shot, slow and painful but far more useful than the useless suggestions.

Tried most comparators, including Differences Examiner and FileMerge, and have been dissatisfied with all. Differences Examiner was just "OK" and closest to fulfilling my needs, but loading new files takes forever.

By chance, I stumbled upon DiffMerge. WOW! What a pleasant surprise! It's fast, straightforward, has more (and intelligent) features, it's simple to operate, no learning curve, and it's FREE! None of the others come close to it. http://www.sourcegear.com/diffmerge/
