Product Description:

Smart Folders creates a special kind of folder that will search your entire hard drive and find all items that match certain criteria that you specify. It can update itself at certain intervals to make sure it is always up to date. Your files and folders will all be located in a central location so that you do not have to go hunting around your computer for them. Best of all, its fast and easy to use since it doesn't have to copy or move large files across volumes. Instead it creates aliases which are just as good as regular files but without taking up extra hard drive space.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1
  • Mac OS Classic

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS 9 - OS X 10.1 or higher

I'd love to use it but can't. I have way too many files that would need renaming or which would otherwise result in hundreds of folders. It needs multiple search criteria, or at least the option not to remove previously defined aliases if one wishes to include them in the same folder. Or am I missing something? Incidently, it seems to have problems with some Creator Codes. It can find Flash MX files that were created with Flash 2004, but not Flash 2004 files created with Flash 2004.
