Ovolab RemoteTunes ReviewVery Useful - Version: 1.5, 11/12/2004 09:10AM PST

This is exactly what I was looking for, a remote control for the computer! It wors well and is not too hard to get working. There are a few issuest, like it loses contact often and must reconnect. This does not prevent it from working, it just adds another step/click. Also, the lists seem to have gotten scrambled at some time, so the song that I click on is no longer the song that plays. Sort of a Party Shuffle effect - all the time. I would like the accuracy back and haven't figured out how.

Great for startling the rest of the family! Can't wait for the upgrade and trying to get it to work with Airport Express!

I was looking for something like this to control a Wirelessly networked remote PowerBook which is hooked up to my Stereo System from my office Desktop which is were all the actual music resides(Share the Playlists with the Remote through iTunes). Just setting this up seemed sort of cumbersome and I could not even get through the set up without the silly pop ups preventing me from trying the thing out as they occur every few seconds. With a little research I stubled upon NetTunes which was way easier to set up, Works perfectly and gave a decent 30 minute trial to really check out how it functions in my environment. Check it out, I think it's much better and Easier to set up.

Ovolab RemoteTunes Commentaryvery nice - Version: 1.0, 10/7/2003 01:01PM PST

nice indeed! but until i can edit/create smart playlists or sort on columns, i'll stick with VNC... also: i can't seem to get shuffle play to work for some playlists...
when these issues are resolved, i'm a buyer.
