Product Description:

CherryPicker is an OSX Patch File editor and format converter with many features that will help you convert and customize your patch lists from OMS or FreeMIDI (used by OS 9) to the new XML midnam format. CherryPicker can also convert from the XML midnam format to FreeMIDI, but not to OMS.

What's new in this version:

  • Due to several reports of difficulties using the PKG installer, the download is now just a simple Stuffit folder. Unstuff the download, and put the folder anyhere you want on your disk.
  • Documentation is now compatible with Apple's Preview and Acrobat Reader 5.
  • Several MOTU FreeMIDI files (Kurzweil PC2/PC2r for example) contain illegal characters. These are now safely ignored in CherryPicker.
  • SaveAs... dialog reworded to clarify the format to save the patch file
  • A bug which sometimes misinterpreted empty Bank Select 32 values has been fixed.

I have been trying to get an Roland XP-80 profile to work in CUBASE SX3.

FreeMidi has the profile I need.

Hope CherryPicker v2.62 will be able to create an XML file for Cubase SX3.

Version 2.0.1 fixes the installer problem - installation is now simply unstuffing and drag the app to whever you want it. There were problems with the package installer, especially on G5's for some reason.

Tried to install, but couldn't on either my Powerbook 17" or Power Mac G5. Installer says "Can't install on this disk. (null)". Never seen that before anywhere else. Incompatible w/ later systems? Installer problem? Will gladly donate if...!
