Canon PowerShot S50 Troubleshooting ReportUpdating via Card Reader - Version: 2.0, 10/2/2003 11:47AM PST

Couldn't get my s50 to be recognised by the Mac (G4/500/9.2.2). Copied the .FIR file from the desktop to the FlashCard by means of a card reader, then updated the camera from that. Worked fine for me.

Canon PowerShot S50 Reviewno problem with update - Version: 2.0, 10/1/2003 02:23PM PST

Update went mostly smoothly although iPhoto kept starting as install of firmware continued. I suggest opening iPhoto first and turning off function that starts iPhoto when camera is connected. Read instructions carefully. GREAT camera BTW.
