Please before you comment it's always best to actually download the program and test it out. WebBackdrop has both auto refresh and transparency. Plus the program allows for window placement and sizing. You can also browse using the window and then set the browsed link as your main URL. As for this being another "me too" application, it's called choices. There are differences between the program you mention and WebBackdrop. Both have features, or might lack features, that users find useful. Most users find it very nice to go and choose between different programs that are somewhat similar. There is not only one browser for the Mac, or word processor, or ... you get the idea.
As for the cost, yes we charge $5.00 . I hardly think that's going to break the bank. I helps us to cover the cost of development, and yes , support over the product. Colourfull Creations has been in business since 1994 producing both hardware and software for the Macintosh. By us charging a small fee for the program , it helps us to offset the development cost and encourage us to upgrade the product in the future.
Thank you.

...leave out some spokes and then charge money for it? WebDesktop does the same thing, with more features like auto refresh and transparentcy adjustment, for free. I usually hate these kind of posts, but I am really getting tired of 5 people comming up with/stealing an idea and the ones that do the poorest job of implementation want to turn around and charge the most. The program is fine, does what it says, just is not as tight as WebDesktop which is free.
