Product Description:

CopyWrite is the project management tool for writers. Word processors are for layout, CopyWrite is for writing. Whether you're working on a novel, an article, a thesis or a book report, CopyWrite is flexible yet simple enough for writers of all kinds. Any creative process is inherently messy - writing especially - keeping organized means finishing faster. CopyWrite helps you write better.

A preferences option to use the default OS X keyboard navigation in the editor has also been added.

CopyWrite CommentaryIt's Alive - Version: 2.296, 9/11/2009 08:37AM PST

I used CopyWrite for a long time. It's great for keeping projects together and still has a fabulous full screen editing scheme. I'm glad to see that it was updated for 10.6, but issues with the interface remain. I would love to see it updated fully for 10.6 and the ways we use Macs now. While it is still a top app some of its quirks are a pain.

I'm not a fiction writer and that seems to be the mission of CW. I wish they would make the categories a system wide setting instead of a project. Most of my concerns a very small and don't relate to the over all operation.

I really like this app, but don't use it as much as I did. I hope this is sign and that 3.x will soon be out with some work flow fixes.

I liked Copywrite, I really did. However, after reported bugs went unfixed and suggestions were not implemented... not to speak of no update since May 2006, I started looking around... and found Scrivener! It has everything and more that is missing in Copywrite, starting with footnotes, outlines, structures, tables, and image support. Yet it is very simple. Sorry Bartas Technologies, but I've moved on.
