nfcd_dotmacThis software could benefit a lot from linkback technology. Could it be possible for example to type a equation in CopyWrite in LaTeX and then convert it, with LaTeXit? I can do that in TextEdit for example. Not in CopyWrite.
After purchasing CopyWrite I ended up writing in CopyWrite, copying to TextEdit and writing Equations in TextEdit. This is very inefficient.

Quice slow, closed fie format, activation - Version: 2.2.8, 6/10/2006 05:11AM PST

kiuzeppeBiggest problem is closed file format and bad export. If one spends thousands of hours writing book with this, he/she would still like to open those files after 10 years. Will this still be possible then? No one can tell.
There is NO REASON to use closed format. It should store files in public and widely user format, like RTF. And it could use folder strucrture for version control. But no :(
Ulysses uses txt to store files, but it's way too expensive and no version control :( And it uses activation too, but open format makes it possible to read files when activation is no longer possible.
World is not ready yet.

Joseph_Duchesne_867When it comes to writing, however, this software has no parallel or competition. It alone gives me the flexibility of paper coupled with the grace of spellcheck. I can keep all my notes, my pages, my random musings, and my concepts in one tidy and frequently backed up place without fear of losing anything.
I could go on but I have a writing assignment that I must attend... in Copywrite.
I'm not a fiction writer and that seems to be the mission of CW. I wish they would make the categories a system wide setting instead of a project. Most of my concerns a very small and don't relate to the over all operation.
I really like this app, but don't use it as much as I did. I hope this is sign and that 3.x will soon be out with some work flow fixes.
