Does 3DMF make sense with Adobe's 3D PDF now available?

I used a much earlier version a couple of years ago with some frustration, but today on a 1 GHz iMac and Geo3D 2.5b2, I had little trouble viewing a complex model from DenebaCAD, and it was pleasantly smooth.

A couple of oddities:

I had to import/export my 3DMF file in the Classic version of Geo3D to make it acceptable to the Mac OS X version of Geo3D. (The documentation suggests doing this for some files, so I didn't waste much time scratching my head.)

DenebaCAD and Geo3D don't agree which way is up. That's also kind of a hassle.
