...and fantastic support. To Mark Douma - why did you feel the need to put that comment on here. As a fellow developer, wouldn't it have been better to email the author of the product? Are were you just showing off? To grikdog - you're an idiot. If you don't understand what you're commenting on, don't comment.

If this is a Mach-O binary, then shouldn't you probably change the "LSPrefersCarbon" in the Info.plist to "LSRequiresCarbon"? That'll remove the checkbox for the option to "Open in the Classic environment" (which I assume will fail, if it's not a PEF executable) from the Finder's Get Info window.

FindFilesX ReviewMore than just Finding - Version: 1.0.2, 11/6/2003 08:09AM PST

This scripting addition is one of the best. Not just able to find files, by type, creator, name, etc, but also match in the list. With this you build your list of files you are looking for, matching and removing those that don't match then pass this to the rest of your applescript. You don't have to mess with Apple's TID's or *nix's Grep.
Some of the cool features of finding files is by Label, comments, and versions and many of the Mac only features. This is a great tool any Applescript Developer who needs to search thousands of files in hundreds of folders to process fast and quickly. Five minutes in the Applescript Dictionary saves hours trying to understand man pages.

The Unix "find" command is free. Like all the powerful Unix commands, it has a learning curve. You can use bash or ruby to tame some of the esoteric variations, yielding simple command line scripts that do things like SEARCH AND DESTROY or LOCATE AND DITTO IF, etc. An hour or so studying the "find" manpage ("man find") is easily worth $30 of your time.
