Reactivating Microsoft Office X after using MacWasher. - Version: 1.1, 10/15/2004 07:28AM PST

To reactivate Microsoft Office X after MacWasher's Spyware has removed the component that disables that application, go to your Library Folder, open it, then go to Preferences, open it and trash the folder Microsoft. After that the application will function normally. If however, you've already monkeyed around with it and did the wrong thing, you may be required to reenter the registration info upon reopening the app.

I hate to give negative feedback, esp. my 1st time here, but...like an earlier post, I too had used WindowWasher from the same company. The same level of development doesn't seem to have gone into this product. The installer didn't work worth a hoot; they couldn't even get it to work right at the Apple store. Basically, I feel like I bought $40 worth of nothing. (The download version had the same problems.) Download MacSweeper from Apple's website instead. It duplicates all the same functions, has an installer that actually works, a useful interface, plus a utilities and backup suite; and best of all, it's freeware. (Save your money on Norton Utilities for Mac too.)
The same exact issues. I've tested it on PowerBookG4s, iMac G4-G5s.
Out of the box error on every install, crashing after every wash, and preferences defaulting back after I edited and locked them.
I will definitely need to try MacSweeper.
