Product Description:
This is a front-end for open source tools: OptiPNG, pngcrush, advpng, jpegtran and jpegoptim.
Images are made smaller (in terms of disk size) by recompressing them using best combination of compression settings, bettter algorithms, and by removing optional, invisible information like comments.
ImageOptim takes advantage of multi-core and 64-bit CPUs.

What's new in this version:
- Added French localization by Mathias Richter (thanks!)
- Added modified version of optipng that clears dirty alpha transparency (RGB components of fully transparent pixels)
- Added Gifsicle for optimisation of animated GIF files (use PNG instead of static GIFs!)
- Added tools menu for quick disabling/enabling of tools used

This is brilliant, works perfectly and more ...something that I was really missing, thanks!
Double-click, bounces in the dock, then closes without ever presenting an interface.
Tried tossing prefs, but it didn't help.
