While nowhere near 'Argonaut - 2149' in game play, graphics, etc, it's old style simplicity (super simple graphics, low end sound effects) did make me smile. And the two player mode is a great idea. But in the end, if I'm going to fire up an Asteroid game, it probably will be something a bit slicker. But that's my taste, not a fault of the program.

The shield engages automatically when needed, unlike in other Asteroid games where you have to remember to hit the shield button. Reverse thrust is nice too...some games don't have it.
All in all, a great free Asteroids game. Asteroid Storm or Argonaut is better if you don't like the window wraparound gameplay style.

Allenroids rocks! It's free, it's fun, it's funny. I've got this sucker on my laptop and whenever I find myself with a little time to kill, I fire this sucker up and have some old school fun. The sounds are certainly not meant to be mind blowing, they are supposed to be entertaining. I love this game and if you've ever liked the asteroids family of games, you won't be disappointed with this addition. Thanks for making it fun and making it free!

Cute. Fun for the kids. Plays very nice, no problems. Critical users need to realize that this is FREEWARE. I think it's a great version of the game for freeware.

Not very good. Was expecting Hemiroids for OSX. This is like an old TRS-80 color game.
