The Cheat CommentaryGood idea bad implementation - Version: 1.2.3, 7/13/2009 06:42AM PST

Born Yesterday
I gave this tool a try, and it failed me miserably. But I won't do a negative review if the developer is keen on changes because The Cheat does have potential.

I tried iHaxGamez which puts to shame The Cheat !

With iHaxGamez you search for the number in the left, wait for the game to change that number and then pause it and use iHaxGamez lower right search box to with the new number.
So easy that someone even made a video for it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRUs8_tZI4o

iHaxGamez - http://sourceforge.net/projects/ihaxgamez/

So if the developer really wants to make The Cheat worth using, I'd suggest following suit with iHaxGamez and allowing a search to compare the changes, otherwise people will be blindly changing numbers at addresses in memory or crashing their games.

I remember Pandora's Box and I had been hoping someone would bring that sort of utility to Mac OS X. Now it's not only here, but it's FREE! What more could you want. The software is in active development, which is wonderful! It can breathe new life into games like Halo. Kudos to the author!

The Cheat Commentaryman, talk about negative... - Version: 1.1, 3/8/2004 09:49AM PST

I have know use for this download, all i wanted to say was... damn, how come you have to be so negative? This is a forum for encouraging people to fix, change, and learn more about their own software - or perhaps stimulate other people to continue where others have left off. I'm sorry that you feel "ripped off" by this download and consider it worthless... you know what, i think your comments are worthless, nothing but angst... why don't you save it for your spouse or your pastor... or better yet keep them to yourself. I mean come on man, all this hostility on freeware? I could understand if you spend hundreds of dollars and wasted serious cash, but it only cost you a few minutes to download! I may not speak for everyone here, but you probably would be more effective and influential if you posted your grievances at some anger management forum, not here... just be little more positive about it, these forums are the wave of the open source future, one day you'll be designing your own software, plugins, shareware, whatever, and the last thing you'll want to see to some dumbass posting comments that have no relevance to anybody but themselves. See what i'm getting at? Grown up already.

The Cheat Reviewblueskymining is an idiot - Version: 1.0, 12/29/2003 08:47PM PST

click on his name and read all of the other degrading posts hes made (10 pages long) and then you decide. he's judging this program based on how many games the mac has? first, how can you judge a program based on how many games there are? if you don't play games on the mac, why did you download it in the first place? second, gaming on the mac is improved a ton recently, so shut up.

and by the way, the interface is very similar to the interface of pandora's box, which was a great app in the OS 9 days. blueskymining is just a moron.

I say kudos to anyone who makes a Homestar Runner reference as sly as this one... You ARE making one, aren't you?
